RICHMOND, Va. - VCU Head Women's Basketball Coach Marlene Stollings has announced the dates for her series of 2013 summer camps, beginning with an Individual Day Camp running June 17-19.  Stollings also offers a One-Day Shootout June 23 and Team Camp, which runs from Aug. 2-4.  All three camps will be held on VCU's campus inside the state-of-the-art Stuart C. Siegel Center.

Stollings, who is in her first season at VCU, joined the Rams after spending the 2011-12 campaign as the head coach at Winthrop University, where she was named 2012 Big South Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to more than 40 school records.   The Beaver, Ohio native's 12-year collegiate coaching career also includes stops in the SEC, Atlantic 10, Sun Belt and Horizon League. 

Considered one of the finest scorers to every play in the basketball rich state of Ohio, Stollings finished her prep career as the leading scorer in Ohio high school basketball history (both boys and girls) with 3,514 points, 857 more than NBA All-Star LeBron James scored in his Ohio high school career.

Individual Day Camp – June 17-19, 2013
$125 per camper
This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball to every age group.  The camp features instruction in dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense, all taught by Coach Marlene and her staff.  Games and instruction will take place in the state-of-the-art Stuart C. Siegel Center, the home of the VCU Rams.  The camp is open to girls ages 7-18, and lunch is included in the cost of camp.

One-Day Shootout - June 23, 2013
$200 per team by May 15, 2013 - $250 per team by June 1, 2013
Hone your skills as a team before the July evaluation period at the One-Day Shootout.  Hosted in the Stuart C. Siegel Center, the One-Day Shootout features a three game guarantee and all games refereed by certified officials.  Our shootout is geared towards AAU, HS Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams. Participants will be categorized into separate divisions to provide the most competitive summer experience possible.  Our Shootout is a great opportunity to play teams that are not on your regular season schedule!

Team Camp – August 2-4, 2013
$125 per camper by June 30, 2013 - $150 per camper by July 15, 2013
Team camp provides the perfect opportunity to take your team and program's game to the next level.  Spend three days competing against the best of the best in the Stuart C. Siegel Center, home of the VCU Rams and the site of the 2014 VHSL Girls Basketball State Championship.  Certified officials will referee all games, and teams have the opportunity to learn from Coach Marlene and her staff.  Team Camp is open to all AAU, HS Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams.
