HELP VCU ATHLETICS & VCU MASSEY CANCER CENTER "KNOCK OUT CANCER" AT FEB. 17 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAME
Please join VCU Women's Basketball and VCU Massey Cancer Center for a Pink Out to raise breast cancer awareness Sunday, Feb. 17 when the Rams take on La Salle at 1 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. All fans are encouraged to wear PINK in honor of breast cancer awareness and FREE Official Pink Out t-shirts will be distributed to fans while supplies last beginning when doors open at 12 p.m.
Also to raise breast cancer awareness, VCU Athletics and VCU Massey Cancer Center will be hosting "Knock Out Cancer", an attempt to go down in history and break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Game of Knockout. The University of Notre Dame currently holds the previous record with 433 participants.
Knock Out Cancer will take place following the conclusion of the women's basketball game and will feature exciting VCU raffles, music and giveaways.
Non-VCU students that pre-register will receive a FREE ticket to the Women’s Basketball game, and ALL participants will receive a FREE VCU tote bag after they have been "Knocked Out!" Non-VCU students that pre-register for Knock Out Cancer can pick up their FREE women's basketball ticket beginning Monday, February 11 at the VCU Athletics Ticket Office, open Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and is located at the west end of the Siegel Center. Pre-registered participants may also pick up their ticket the day of the game at Will Call beginning when doors open at 12pm. A valid ID is required when picking up tickets. Pre-registration is encouraged but walk-up registration the day of the game will be accepted and will take place near the main entrance on the concourse of the arena.
