AROUND THE HORNS:
  • Hobson is a versatile player with good size and ability to play all three guard positions.  Her athleticism and quickness allow her to create space on the offensive side while dominating the opponent on the defensive end.  Hobson’s intensity on the court and her ability to play hard have earned her respect from opposing coaches.
  • She has provided valuable depth off the bench during her two seasons at VCU, appearing in 38 games (22 as a freshman and 16 during her sophomore campaign).


2010-11 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)   

  • Appeared in 16 games off the bench, averaging 6.1 minutes per game
  • Saw action in 10-straight games to start the season before suffering an injury, which kept her off the court during the start of Colonial Athletic Association play
  • Scored 18 points and hauled in 19 rebounds
  • Finished with a pair of steals and 10 assists
  • Tallied six points (career-high tying 2-of-5 from three-point range) and collected three rebounds in VCU’s season-opening victory at High Point (11/12/10)
  • Added five points, three rebounds and an assist in a season-high 15 minutes at Richmond (12/5/10)
  • Finished with three points, three rebounds and two assists In just seven minutes of action against Liberty


2009-10 SEASON (FRESHMAN)       

  • Saw action in 22 games as a rookie, averaging 6.9 minutes per outing
  • Her athleticism and quickness were on display as she scored 27 points and hauled in 18 rebounds
  • Went 4-for-6 from 3-point range and shot 11-of-23 (.478) from the field
  • Registered a career-high nine points (3-of-7 from the field including 2-of-3 from behind the arc) with four rebounds and three steals in 17 minutes against Arkansas St. (11/20/09)
  • Contributed a pair of assists with four rebounds in 16 minutes against Morgan State (11/21/10)
  • Scored five points and went 2-of-2 from the field including 1-of-1 from long range at Georgia State (1/14/10)
  • Added four points in a home win against Radford (12/12/10)


HIGH SCHOOL     

  • Starred on the hardwood at Blue Valley North High School in Leawood, Kan.
  • Averaged 14.0 points per outing during her senior season with the Mustangs and earned second team all-conference accolades as a junior
