The short story: One week smashing a school record in the 4x400-meter relay, VCU powered to another strong time on the way to a first-place finish at the ECAC/IC4A Championships.

THE STARTING LINE

  • Chukwuezugo Aguolu, Kahlil Shepard, Bigal Harrison, and Devon Thompson made up the 4x400 relay squad that booked a mark of 3:10.54, the second-fastest in school history. Just one week ago, the Rams shattered the school 4x400 mark that had stood since the 2001 outdoor season.
  • Thompson and Harrison also did work in the 400 meter, placing seventh and eighth, respectively.
  • In the 110 hurdles finals, sophomore Ian Davis placed sixth behind a 14.78 time.
  • Marcus Finnie earned ninth overall in the long jump. The senior's mark was 6.94m.
