OPENING SERVE

  • The combination of senior Philip Mobuis and junior Inaki Rivero Crespo defeated Juan Sergi Fontcuberta and Miguel Este of ETSU to award VCU the first doubles victory of the match.
  • Sophomore Rayane Stable and junior Javier Amantegui earned VCU the doubles point after defeating ETSU's Juan Lugo and Chris Mikrova.
  • Senior Arvid Noren defeated Lugo in No. 3 singles to reward the Rams with their first singles point of the day.
  • Yusuf Khamis of ETSU and sophomore Inigo Torre Martin battled hard in No. 4 singles but Kahmis eventually came out on top in three sets.
  • Stable fought back to defeat Fontcuberta in three sets, to award VCU its third point of the match.
