The short story: VCU battled back and forth with in-state opponent Virginia Tech in their home finale on Sunday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. Senior Daryl Monfils, and sophomores Arvid Noren and Vitor Lima each won in consecutive sets on the singles court.
- The Hokies jumped to a 3-1. Senior Daryl Monfils defeated Jai Corbett, 6-2, 6-4. He is now 13-9 overall this season.
- Arvid Noren defeated Henrik Korsgaard in consecutive sets on the third court. He improves to 17-11 overall on the year.
- Vitor Lima tied the match at three a piece by defeating Alexandre Ribeiro in consecutive sets on the fourth court, but Virginia Tech secured the victory with a win on the second court.
