NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two weeks into the 2014 spring season and the VCU men's tennis program has already taken home four weekly accolades.

This week, the Atlantic 10 Conference honored sophomore Michal Voscek and freshman Vuk Velickovic. Voscek was named Co-Performer of the Week, while Velickovic was named Rookie of the Week.

Voscek picked up a pair of straight set wins on the weekend, dropping Longwood's Warren Bryan (6-3, 6-1) and Morgan State's Duk Youn Park (6-0, 7-6 (7)). On the year, he is 15-6 in singles action. 

Velickovic joined the Rams mid-year and is off and running for the Black & Gold. This past weekend, the Australian picked up dominating straight set wins over Longwood's Justin Hoggs (6-0, 6-2) and Morgan State's Jannick Tash (6-1, 6-0).

The Rams are back in action on Friday when they travel to 32nd-ranked N.C. State. First serve in Raleigh is set for 3 p.m.
