HEUGAS, BAROZ EARN A SPOT IN THE NCAA DOUBLES TOURNAMENT

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After receiving a two seed in the Charlottesville pod in this year's NCAA men's tennis tournament, two Rams got more exciting news on Wednesday.

The doubles of team of sophomores Antoine Baroz and Alexis Heugas were selected as the CAA at-large doubles team, and will participate in the NCAA individual tournament. It is the fourth time that a VCU doubles team as received the CAA's at-large bid.

Automatic qualification into the doubles championships is awarded to any conference with one or more eligible doubles teams ranked in the ITA Top 60 for eligible and entered doubles teams.

All the action will take place from May 23-28 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga. where the University of Georgia will play host to the tournament.

Both Baroz and Heugas will begin play with rest of the Rams team in the NCAA team tournament, in Charlottesville, facing off against #3 seeded Columbia on May 12.
