RICHMOND, Va. – Each spring the faces and names change, but the results still seem to stay the same for the VCU men's tennis team.
The Rams have been a consistent contender not only in the CAA but on the national scene under Head Coach Paul Kostin and if the first day of the 2012 season is any foreshadowing, this year will be no different.
VCU rolled to victories over Campbell, 4-1, and conference foe Drexel, 5-0, on the first day of the annual 4x1 Invitational hosted at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. All nine match victories were of the straight set variety led by sophomore Alejandro Argente, who cruised to two 6-0, 6-1 wins.
VCU will return to action on Saturday when they take on Georgetown at 5 p.m.
