RICHMOND, Va. - While most college students were hitting the beach this summer, redshirt sophomore Jordan Dyke of the VCU men's tennis team spent the break from school rehabbing from a season-long injury that kept him off the courts in 2010.
Now back and ready to go this year, Dyke took some time to catch up with VCU Athletics' student assistant Nan Turner and give us an in-depth look into his daily musings.
NT: What's your favorite thing about VCU?
JD: My favorite this about VCU is that we're in a big city and there is plenty to do.
NT: If you had a completely tennis free weekend, what would it look like?
JD: My free weekend would be sleeping in, eating some good food, watching TV and movies, hanging out with friends and watching football on Sunday.
NT: If you could play on any other VCU sports team, which one would you choose? Why?
JD: I would play basketball because its high intensity and I like the sport.
NT: Who has been the most influential person in your life? Why?
JD: My parents would probably be the most influential because I have spent a lot of time with them and I can just chill with them.
NT: Favorite thing about away matches?
JD: My favorite thing about away matches is that I get to travel and go to places I normally wouldn't go to.
NT: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
JD: The superpower I would want would be the ability to change into whatever I wanted.
NT: What's something people would be surprised to know about you?
JD: People would be surprised that I like to cook.
NT: If you had to describe yourself in one word what would it be and why?
JD: My word would be independent.
