Senior forward Khris Lane was named the Virginia Lottery Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts in consecutive road victories over Saint Louis and George Mason. Lane dropped double-digit points in both matchups and recorded his first double-double as a Ram.

The fifth year Longwood transfer recorded 10 points and two assists in the 75-74 overtime win over the Billikens. In the extra period, Lane converted on both his free throw attempts to give VCU the lead.

Four days later Lane poured in a season-high 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in an 84-76 win over George Mason. 14 of Lane's points came in the first half, boosting VCU to a 41-29 lead. In the second, Lane didn't miss a basket shooting 5-of-5 and knocking down a free throw.

During the two-game span, the Richmond native shot 14-of-21 (.667) from the floor and made 7-of-9 (.778) free throws.
