  • VCU will make the roughly two-hour drive to Washington, D.C. for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship at the Capital One Arena. The Rams will be in search of their second A-10 Tournament title and their 10th conference tournament title overall (Sun Belt 1980, 1981, 1985; CAA 1996, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2012; A-10 2015).

  • The Rams enter the conference tournament on the heels of an 83-58 rout of Fordham on March 3 in the Bronx, N.Y. Senior forward Justin Tillman provided 18 points and 13 rebounds in that contest, while freshman forward Sean Mobley added a career-high 16 points.

  • VCU has reached its conference tournament's championship game in each of the past seven seasons. The Rams played in the CAA final in 2011 and 2012 prior to joining the A-10 prior to the 2012-13 season.

  • The Rams are also looking to extend their streak of seven consecutive NCAA berths.

  • Tillman's 17 games of 20 or more points this season are the most by a Ram since Eric Maynor topped 20 on 23 occassions in 2008-09.

  • Tillman is averaging 18.9 points and an Atlantic 10-best 9.7 rebounds per game. No VCU player has averaged a double-double for a season since Bernard Hopkins in 1995-96. Tillman's 16 double-doubles this season are the most by a Ram since Hopkins totaled 18 in 1995-96

  • VCU last played in this arena during the 2011-12 season. The Rams topped George Washington, now a conference rival, 75-60 on Dec. 4, 2011 in the BB&T Classic.
