BLACK OUT RICHMOND
This Saturday has been designated as a "Blackout", and all fans will have a black "It's Havoc You Fear" t-shirt on their seat when you arrive at the arena. All t-shirts will be size extra-large to best accommodate all fans to support the Blackout Richmond effort. There will be a limited number of small, medium, large, 2XL and 3XL t-shirts available for fans to exchange on the west concourse of the arena on a first-come, first-served basis.
VCU Athletics and VCU Basketball asks fans to fully support the Blackout Richmond effort by putting on their t-shirt once they arrive to the arena. VCU Athletics would like to thank the following sponsors for their participation and support of Blackout Richmond: AmeriGas, Capital Interiors, EVB, E.J. Wade Construction, GEICO Kelly Garrison, Haley Automotive, Howell's, Q'doba and VCU Dental Care.
I STAND UP FOR CANCER
In addition to your Blackout Richmond t-shirt, you will find an "I Stand Up For Cancer" placard in your seat. VCU Athletics and VCU Massey Cancer Center would like to honor those affected by cancer by dedicating a moment of silence prior to the national anthem. During this time, fans are encouraged to hold your "I Stand Up For Cancer" placards with the names of those close to you who have been affected by cancer.
BATTLE FOR THE CAPITAL
The Battle for the Capital seeks to use the energy and excitement that surrounds the men's basketball cross-town rivalry between VCU and Richmond to engage alumni and motivate them to show support for their university by making a gift to the Annual Fund.
