RAMS SET TO PLAY BOSTON COLLEGE IN BROOKLYN HOOPS WINTER FESTIVAL ON DECEMBER 28

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Anybody in #RamNation that wanted to see New York during the Holiday Season will get their wish during the 2013-14 men's basketball season.

The Barclays Center announced this morning that VCU will be a participant in the BROOKLYN HOOPS Winter Festival presented by Honda, taking on ACC foe, Boston College on December 28. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

The VCU-Boston College matchup will be a part of a tripleheader that day with the other games featuring St. John's vs. Columbia and Kansas State vs. Tulane.

VCU is now scheduled to play a minimum of three ACC schools during the 2013-14 campaign with showdowns against Virginia and Virginia Tech announced previously. The Rams also could play Florida State as both schools are participants in the 2013 Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

The Black & Gold are 2-2 against the ACC during Coach Smart's tenure.
