RAM FANS ENCOURAGED TO ARRIVE EARLY FOR SATURDAY’S HOMECOMING GAME

RICHMOND, Va. – With a 15th consecutive sellout imminent on Saturday, the true passion of Ram Nation is being shown on a nightly basis at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.

That passion has been supporting the Rams since the beginning and Saturday night will be a celebration of VCU Basketball history with nearly 50 former players in attendance for what hopes to become an annual event with the VCU Basketball alumni reception.

VCU Athletics is encouraging fans to arrive early on Saturday with all the former Rams scheduled to be recognized prior to tipoff. Each decade of VCU basketball will be represented with players such as Edd Tatum, Edmund Sherrod, Kendrick Warren (pictured right), Michael Brown, Calvin Duncan, Ren Watson, Patrick Lee, Lionel Bacon, Michael Doles, Ed Nixon and many, many more.

The game is already sold out so please arrive early and remember to be decked out in white as the Rams take on a tough squad in the Northeastern Huskies.

So remember, get there early, decked out in white and be ready to go crazy for the Homecoming celebrations and to cheer on the Rams. Tip-off at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center is set for 7 p.m. with fans encouraged to be in their seat by 6:45.
