PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATORS TAKE A LOOK AT THE CAA BASKETBALL RACE

RICHMOND, Va. – With the official start of men’s basketball practice just days away, the preseason prognosticators are well on their way to trying to figure out what is sure to be a heated race in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Instead of scavenging through the magazine racks at the local bookstore or scrolling through internet pages, we decided to compile the top five rankings and come up with a composite predicted order of finish.

VCU earned the top spot in the Sporting News, but third in the majority of the polls. However, senior Bradford Burgess (pictured, right) was listed on the All-CAA First Team by all five prognosticators, including being picked as the Preseason Player of the Year by three of the five.

The official CAA Preseason Coaches’ Poll and Preseason all-conference teams will be released next Tuesday, October 18, at CAA Media Day in Arlington, Va.
