· Played in 19 games for the Black & Gold, scoring a career-high five field goals and 12 points on the season
· Huge part of VCU's 89-85 win over perennial power UCLA at Madison Square Garden with four points and a blocked shot. A victory that played a huge role in securing the Black & Gold's NCAA Tournament berth later in March.

his first four appearances of the 2009-10 campaign

home win over UNC Wilmington on Jan. 2nd
PRIOR TO VCU:
· Starring for four years at R.J. Reynolds High School, Hinton helped lead the Demons to a pair of 4A West Sectional runner-up finishes.
· Hinton was a starter and important factor in the Demons’ run to the Central Piedmont Conference regular-season and tournament championships during his junior campaign.

Reynolds Head Coach Billy Martin, who named him team captain prior
to his senior campaign.
· Along with playing for
the Demons, Hinton spent time with the Kappa Magic AAU squad near
his Winston-Salem, N.C. hometown.
