PRIOR TO VCU:

· Played in three straight VHSL AAA State Tournaments, including two appearances in the championship game, played at the Siegel Center. (2007, 2009)

After posting an average of 17 points and six rebounds during his senior campaign, Daniels earned Virginia High School Coaches’ Association AAA First-Team All-State honors for the Colonels.
· During his senior year, he was named Northwest Region Player of the Year and the Roanoke Times Player of the Year
· Daniels made his trips to the charity stripe count, knocking down over 85 percent of his free throws during his senior season

Rivals.com rated him a three-star prospect and among the best shooters in the state of Virginia, while Scout.com had him ranked as the 35th-best shooting guard in the country.
