GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Chase Sargent (Orlando, Fla.) turned in his best performance of the season to lead Virginia Commonwealth University at the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate Sunday at Forest Oaks Country Club.

Sargent was 1-under on Sunday to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place. The Orlando native was even par (73-71=144) at the weather-shortened, 36-hole tournament. Sargent began the day in 16th position, but used four birdies Sunday to move up the leaderboard.
Behind their senior, the Rams placed 14th overall. VCU was 27-over (307-296=603) at the two-day event. The Black and Gold's final round 296 was seventh-best among the Bridgestone's competitive field.
