RICHMOND, Va. -The VCU golf team will be wrapping up its fall schedule and it's been a tough one for the Rams, playing the 15th most challenging schedule in the nation.
Senior Mark Jargren's leadership is pivotal for a young Rams squad, and before he hit the links for the last time this fall, he caught up with VCU Athletics' student assistant Scott Wyant to let us know a little more about the Swedish native.
SW: Why did you decide to come to VCU?
MJ: It's too cold to play golf in Sweden and I liked the guys on the team.
SW: What is the biggest difference between Sweden and the United States?
MJ: The size on meals and the people.
SW: When did you pick up a golf club for the first time?
MJ: When I was 5.
SW: Is there a golfer you try to model your game after?
MJ: No, but I like Graeme McDowell a lot.
SW: What is the greatest accomplishment of VCU career so far?
MJ: Winning conference my sophomore year.
SW: What is your goal for your final season?
MJ: To keep getting better and ultimately win conference.
SW: How did you spend your summer?
MJ: In the states, playing golf
SW: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
MJ: Play tennis.
Favorite movie: The Hangover.
Food: My Grandmas food.
