|Junior Chase Sargent (Orlando, Fla.) followed ball in 51st place for the Rams at 9-over (73-79-73=225), while senior Mark Jargren (Helsingborg, Sweden) and juniors Matt Smith (Lancaster, Pa.) and Davis Garner (Washington Terrace, Utah) were 64th, 68th and 70th, respectively.

BURLINGTON, Iowa – Freshman Matt Ball
Jr. (Richmond, Va.) fired a final-round 69 and
finished 2-under par to lead VCU against a loaded field at the
Golfweek Conference Challenge Tuesday at the Spirit Hollow Golf
Course.
Ball tied for 17th overall with a three-round total of
214 (73-72-69) in his first collegiate tournament. The Rams placed
15th in the team standings with a total of 903 strokes
(306-301-296).
