FIELD HOCKEY ADDS WILBER TO 2019 SIGNING CLASS

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Field Hockey head coach Stacey Bean has announced the addition of Maddie Wilber to the 2019 signing class. 

Wilber, a native of Smyrna, Delaware, played club hockey for Delaware Shore and at Smyrna High School. Wilber was named to the All-State Second Team in 2018-19 as well as the All-Conference First Team multiple times.

Wilber earned the Academic Excellence Award all four years and was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Student Government Association. She was also involved in Special Olympics and the Blue-Gold Club. Wilber plans to major in biomedical engineering.

"I chose VCU because I loved the hockey team and the engineering program. I felt it was the best school to help me reach my goals in both education and athletics."
