MCNAMARA NAMED NFHCA/LONGSTRETH NATIONAL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

GILBERT, Ariz. - Emily McNamara has been named the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I National Offensive Player of the Week. 

This weekend, McNamara scored seven goals and added two assists in just two games against Saint Louis University and Towson University. With her first goal against Saint Louis, McNamara broke VCU's all-time record for career goals and total career points.

She continued with three more goals in VCU's Atlantic 10 Conference 7-1 opening win. McNamara then scored three goals and recorded two assists in VCU's 9-0 win over Towson. The 9-0 win against the Tigers also tied for the largest shutout in school history.

McNamara was also named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for her efforts, the second time she has earned the honor this season.
