VCU will return to action on Friday, Oct. 29 when it closes out its regular season against Northeastern at Cary Street Field at 4 p.m.
VCU’S SOARES SOARS TO CAA ROOKIE AWARD
RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time this season, Virginia
Commonwealth University freshman Emilie Soares (Santa
Clara, Calif.) has been named the Colonial Athletic
Association's Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Soares, a forward, scored in the 53rd minute of
Sunday's match at William & Mary, which helped the Rams
secure a 4-1 win and their first CAA Tournament berth since
2003.
