RICHMOND, Va. – After a 37-win campaign two Rams were tabbed to the ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region team.

Senior Bill Cullen and Junior Vimael Machin each earned a spot on the second team. The honors come on the heels of both players making second team All-Atlantic 10 last month.

Cullen was named a second team outfielder after leading the Atlantic 10 in RBI with 55. The senior also posted a team-best total in triples (6) and doubles (18).

During the season, Cullen set the career triples record at VCU (20) on April 20 at the University of Richmond. The Colonial Heights, Va. native also finished his career within the top ten of six categories at VCU: at-bats (2nd, 881), hits (5th, 279), runs (4th, 190), doubles (2nd, 66), walks (7th, 111) and RBI (9th, 146).

Black and Gold shortstop Vimael Machin joined Cullen on the second team after capping off his breakout offensive season. The San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico native nearly matched his two-year RBI total of 57, logging 52 RBI finishing second in the Atlantic 10 behind Cullen.

Machin also raised his average from .291 as a sophomore to .307 in his junior campaign.

Last season, then-sophomore reliever Matt Lees was also named second team All-East Region.
