  • Steady arm out of the Rams bullpen with an above average fastball

WHILE WITH THE RAMS

2014/REDSHIRT JUNIOR

  • Returned to the Rams staff on May 6, pitching the ninth inning against Maryland.
  • The right-hander made his first start of the year for the Rams in an elimination game vs. Saint Louis on May 23. Buckley went 2.2 innings giving up no earned runs on two hits and striking out three Billikens. VCU went on to win the contest 8-6 in 16 innings.

2013/JUNIOR

  • Made five appearances with four starts for the Rams in 2013. Missed a majority of the season with an arm injury.
  • Finished the year with a 3.74 ERA, throwing 21.2 innings and striking out 11.
  • Made his first appearance against Elon on Feb. 17 throwing two innings of relief allowing a run and striking out one.
  • Recorded his first start against St. Joseph's on Feb. 23 scattering six hits and two runs, he didn't factor into the final decision.
  • Notched his first career win against The Citadel on March 2, going five innings and allowing three hits and two runs.
  • Pitched a career-high six innings against Monmouth on March 16, allowing one run on eight hits, picking up his second win of the season.

LACKAWANNA JUNIOR COLLEGE

  • Helped lead Lackawanna to two Region XIX Championship, including a trip to the JUCO World Series in 2012
  • Was named a Third Team All-American in 2012
  • Had the third lowest ERA in DII JUCO  in 2012
  • Earned All-Region team honors and was runner-up in Player of the Year Voting
  • Finished 2012 with 15 appearances throwing 78 innings, a 10-1 record, striking out 68, and had an ERA of only 1.84.

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Played four years of baseball at Scranton High School in Scranton
  • Helped lead the Knights to the League and District titles as a senior
  • Was named All-Region after his junior season and All-League after his senior year
