GENERAL
- Two-way talent who was recognized as one of the best players in the state of Virginia out of high school
- Was a 25th round selection by the Cleveland Indians in the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft following a standout career at nearby Manchester High School
- In line to nail down one of the Rams’ weekend starter spots
- Features a good breaking ball and has the potential to anchor the VCU pitching staff
- Hit 95 mph during the fall of his rookie season
2010/FRESHMAN
- Made 11 appearances, including 10 starts on the mound for VCU
- Finished the season with a 4-4 record in 49.2 innings,
- Fanned 37 batters and finished with a 7.07 ERA
- Picked up his first career victory against Fairfield, throwing seven innings with three hits and four strikeouts (2/27)
