PRIOR TO VCU:
● Joins the Rams after a four-year career at local Mills E. Godwin High School under head coach Herb Modrak.

● As a senior, Van Arsdale was a member of the Eagles squad that captured the Colonial District Regular Season and Tournament titles, while finishing as a Central Region and VHSL AAA State Tournament finalist.

● Played forward during his junior season and finished with three goals before transitioning to goalkeeper during his senior campaign.

● Finished with 15 shutouts in 22 games minding the net during his senior year and produced a 0.49 goals against average.

● Was the starting goalkeeper and member of the Richmond Strikers U-16 and U-18 Academy teams.

GETTING TO KNOW JACKSON:

● Born on January 17, 1991.

● His parents, Dean Van Arsdale and Betsy Swanson, both attended West Virginia University.

● Majoring in exercise science at VCU.

● Also starred on the basketball court at Mills E. Godwin for three years.

● His brother, Nathan, plays soccer at Longwood University and his sister, Lane, attends Virginia Tech.
