TICKET CLAIM CALENDAR

CLAIM YOUR TICKETS

VCU Students help create one of the greatest atmospheres in college basketball; wreaking HAVOC on VCU’s opponents year after year.

All VCU Students have the opportunity to attend VCU Men’s Basketball home games for FREE! Though only Full Time VCU Students are eligible to claim a ticket through the online system. Part Time Students may still attend games through the McDonald's Student Stand-by Line.

Students who would like to attend a home VCU Men’s Basketball game must claim an online ticket during specified one-week claim periods prior to each game.

Step 1: Create your online ticket account at: www.VCUAthletics.com/StudentTickets

Step 2: Select the game(s) you want to attend and submit your selection

*Students may request only 1 student ticket per game

Access to tickets - Tickets will be distributed via email at least two (2) days prior to each game.  If demand exceeds capacity a lottery will be run to allocate tickets.
* Rowdy Rams members will receive priority access to tickets.

Step 3: Students may load their online ticket onto their smartphone OR print their ticket at home on a standard 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper.  Each ticket will have your name and VCU V# to verify access to the arena.

Step 4: GAMEDAY! Bring your VCU Student ID to the game and your smartphone with your online ticket loaded and displayed OR you printed ticket. Arena staff will scan all tickets using the barcode included on each; matching to your student ID.

The student entrance is located on the east end of the Siegel Center.  Student seating in the Stuart C. Siegel Center is general admission.

NO-SHOW POLICYStudents who request a ticket and are awarded a ticket are expected to attend the game! Upon being awarded a ticket, students will have the ability to return or “declaim” their ticket if they cannot attend the game. However, if a student is awarded a ticket, does not “declaim” and does not show up to the game, the student will receive a “no-show” penalty. Following the game, students will receive an email informing them of their “no-show”.  A student who receives two (2) “no-shows” will be denied tickets to all home and post-season games for the remainder of the season.

McDonald's Student Stand-by Line

If you are not awarded an online ticket or are a Part Time Student, a student stand-by line is available at each home game.  Students who wait in the McDonald's Student Stand-By Line are not guaranteed admission to the game.  McDonald's Stand-By Line students will be admitted ONLY if seats are available in the student section at the beginning of the game.

Student Ticket Transfer

Students have the ability to transfer their student ticket to another student up to two (2) hours prior to the game (the transfer must be completed prior to the 2 hour window, if the recipient does not accept the transfer before the 2 hour window the transfer will not work). Students may not transfer their Student Ticket to a non student. There is a $2 transfer fee that will be charged that can be paid either by the student transferring the ticket or by the student receiving the ticket. The recipient will also incur a $1.50 delivery fee.

Student Ticket Return

Students who have received a ticket but decide they do not wish to attend, may return their ticket (via their online account only) up to 5 hours prior to the game.
