Jeff Collins currently serves as the athletic trainer for the Virginia Commonwealth University field hockey and women’s tennis teams. He was previously employed as an assistant athletic trainer at Longwood University in Farmville, VA for the women’s basketball team, as well as the men’s and women’s cross-country and golf teams.
A native of Glastonbury, CT, Collins earned his B.S. in health
and exercise science with a minor in classical studies at Wake
Forest University and his M.S. in exercise and sport science with a
concentration in athletic training from the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro.
Collins was an intern athletic trainer at VCU from 2007-2009 for the field hockey and men’s and women’s tennis teams. After his time at VCU, Collins was an assistant athletic trainer at Hampton University in Hampton, VA, providing coverage to the football team, as well as the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country teams. He also served as an intern athletic trainer for the Denver Broncos in the summer of 2006.

In addition to being a certified athletic trainer, Collins is also a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, and is an authorized provider of the Graston Technique.
