RICHMOND, Va. – One hundred VCU student-athletes were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester, the league announced this week.

VCU's honorees were part of a record 1,818 student-athletes who received a Commissioner's Honor Roll citation.
To be listed on the bi-annual Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.5 GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale) during the specified semester. Freshmen are eligible to receive the award.
VCU's lacrosse and women's track & field programs led the way for the Rams with 17 honorees apiece, while the women's soccer and field hockey squads received 11 spots each. The men's tennis program landed the highest percentage of its student-athletes on the list with 78 percent (7-of-9) earning a Commissioner's Honor Roll award.

Five of VCU's athletic programs saw at least a third of their roster earn a place on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, including men's tennis (78 percent), lacrosse (56 percent), women's soccer (44 percent), women's track & field and cross country (41 percent) and volleyball (33 percent).
