RICHMOND, Va. – The Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center has become one of the most visited buildings in all of Richmond. From sold out basketball games to jammed packed concerts to campaign stops by politicians, everyone wants to come to 1200 W. Broad Street.

One of the events that helped make the Siegel Center one of the most happening places in Richmond is back as VCU Athletics is proud to host the third annual Markel/VCU Athletics Black & Gold Ball, presented by D&H Construction. The can’t miss event is set for Friday, Oct. 12, beginning around 8 p.m..

With nearly 750 attendees last year, the Black & Gold Ball has quickly become a huge success and is becoming a signature event in the city of Richmond. It is a critical fundraiser for the Ram Athletic Fund, which helps support the near 300 student-athletes of the VCU Athletic Department.

The black-tie optional event features a casino, dance floor, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cigar lounge. Test your luck at the black jack tables, texas hold ‘em, roulette or the craps table. Raffle prizes will be drawn throughout the evening for a variety of prizes.

Whether you’re dancing, placing bets or retreating to the cigar lounge for a glass of scotch, you’ll be sure to enjoy the fun-filled evening!
